Introduction of MSU & CAMP
    • Michigan State University (MSU) is a land grant institution founded in 1855 in East Lansing, Michigan.
    • In the 1970’s the MSU Board of Trustees established in-state tuition for migrant/seasonal farm worker students who migrate to and within the state of Michigan
    • MSU’s College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) was established in 2000 and is grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education

  • MSU CAMP recruits and services migrant and seasonal farm workers as they transition through year one of their postsecondary education


  • Student profile: 1st generation college student, bi-lingual Latinos, 50% out of state with in state University status
