- Michigan State University (MSU) is a land grant institution founded in
1855 in East Lansing, Michigan.
- In the 1970’s the MSU Board of Trustees established in-state tuition
for migrant/seasonal farm worker students who migrate to and within the
state of Michigan
- MSU’s College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) was established in 2000
and is grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education
