Welcome to the
"Hispanic Population and the Census"
Website
On this website you will find Trend Data for
the Years 1990-2000. The data are based on the
U.S. Census monthly and yearly data files
of the Current Population Survey. Every
month the Census Bureau puts out a monthly file
and every year, in March, a Supplement file.
There are several variables located on this
site, including data on Median Income, Poverty,
School Enrollment, Population, and Children
Living In Single Parent Households. You will be
able to download the raw data files or view the
trends for the years 1990-2000. You can also
download the SPSS files that have the raw Census
Data or just download the Syntax Files that
import the data into SPSS. You can also view
a Power Point presentation by clicking on the
"Hispanic Population In The US" link on the
left. The presentation is called "Monitoring
Hispanic Families and Youth through the Census
2000."
